Prince Edward Island’s hospital and medical services plan is designed to provide eligible residents with coverage for basic hospital and medical treatment.Under the guidance of the Department of Health and Wellness, Health PEI is responsible for the operation of the full continuum of health programs and services provided to meet the needs of Prince Edward Island residents.
Health PEI provides a variety of programs and services including:

- Provincial Diabetes
- Provincial Pharmacare
- Cancer Screening Programs and Services
A PEI Health Card is required to receive hospital and medical services in PEI.
